School Council
The School Council meets at least once each half term. They also have regular meetings with the head teacher and occasionally with other staff or visitors to the school, to promote the school, discuss issues and help to make decisions about how the school is run. School Councillors are appointed at the start of each academic year. Two school councillors are appointed from each year group from reception class to year six. Children are nominated by their peers following a presentation to their class of their particular interests and reasons why they should be chosen.
The School Councillors work with staff to ensure that as a school, we are promoting British values, including valuing democracy, upholding the rights of themselves and others and encouraging mutual respect and tolerance. The School Council constantly strives to make Pippins School the best that it can be.
