Pastoral Care at Pippins School
We are fortunate at Pippins to have not only a team but a whole building dedicated to the social, emotional and behavioural needs of our children.
Within our Bungalow, we provide both individual and small group support, dependent on the needs of each child. Our bungalow has a fabulous multipurpose room, which children love coming to, as it offers a warm, safe and welcoming space. We also have cooking facilities which we use to great effect within our small group work!
We know that for some children, school can be a difficult place to be, and they may need extra support. We want all our children to feel happy and safe at Pippins, which is why we are so passionate about our work in the Bungalow.
The children are carefully chosen and assessed by staff to ensure their needs are identified. Our staff are well trained in various social, emotional and behavioural interventions and therapeutics, so we can ensure a child will be offered individualised support. These interventions can increase a child’s ability for academic achievement.
Mr Jalaf and Mrs Deville (interim SENDCo) are available for parents to come and speak to them about any pastoral concerns they may have about their children, please ask at the office for further information.
